Holy Week and Easter, 2011

This year we are fortunate to have photos of all the principal Holy Week and Easter Services!

The Blessing and Distribution of Palms and Solemn Mass at 11 o’clock

Today we used for the first time our new festal red frontal and tabernacle veil for the high altar, a most generous gift of Ms Constance Vidor in memory of her parents, John and Eileen Higham. The frontal was designed and executed by Watts and Co. of London and reuses the now restored three principal embroideries from the parish’s old red frontal, originally executed in the late 1920s. We are all most grateful to Ms Vidor for her gift and the opportunity she has given us to refurbish and preserve our important collection of vestments and embroideries.
